Terms of Service
Last updated: August 16, 2026
These terms govern your use of starsce.com and your enrolment in courses offered by Stars CE. By registering an account you agree to them.
Eligibility and accounts
Accounts are for individual professionals. You are responsible for the accuracy of the licence and jurisdiction details you provide, because they determine which courses are presented as credit-bearing for you. Do not share your account: certificates are issued against the person who completed the assessment.
Course access
Enrolment grants you access to a course for twelve months from the date of purchase, including any revisions published in that period. We may retire a course when its material stops being current; if that happens while you are enrolled, you keep access until your period ends or we offer an equivalent replacement.
Credits and certificates
We state the credit value and category of each course on its catalogue page. Accreditation rules are set by your licensing body, not by us, and can change. It remains your responsibility to confirm a course meets your renewal requirements. We will tell you what we know, and we will not represent a course as carrying credit where it does not.
Payment and refunds
Fees are shown before checkout. If you have not begun the first assessment, you may request a full refund within thirty days of purchase. Once a certificate has been issued the enrolment is non-refundable, because the credit has already been reported.
Acceptable use
- Do not reproduce, resell or publish course material.
- Do not have another person complete assessments on your behalf.
- Do not attempt to disrupt the service or access other users' records.
We may suspend an account for a serious or repeated breach, and are obliged to invalidate certificates obtained by misrepresentation.
Communications
We send transactional messages about your enrolments, certificates and account, which are part of the service. We also send course announcements, which you can unsubscribe from at any time using the link in any such message or by contacting support.
Liability
We provide courses with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for a licensing body declining to accept credit, for indirect or consequential loss, or for interruptions outside our reasonable control. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes
We may update these terms. Where a change materially affects your rights we will notify registered users by email before it takes effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
